About this Consult:
In this consult, Antony works with Veera, who is 6 months post partum.
Veera’s labour lasted over two days.
Vacuum with episiotomy was needed during the second stage.
Veera had an adrenal crisis and infection immediately after the birth, which impacted her ability to breastfeed.
For the first 5 months post partum, Veera did core and body weight exercises.
Subsequently, Veera started back to deadlifts at high volume, mid range weight, using Valsalva breathing.
She felt good during her sessions.
However the next day and onwards, she had bladder leaking with coughing and sneezing which she hadn’t experienced before.
These symptoms decreased when she stopped lifting for 1 week.
She is also noticing some sensation awareness in the pelvis that she is suspecting is a prolapse.
How does Antony get her to return to deadlifting with more ease?
How does Antony decrease her symptoms with coughing within one assessment session?
How does Veera fair when doing heavy deadlifts the next day?
How does Veera feel 2 years after the consult and The Female Athlete Level 1 course took place?
